Queen of Hearts (Hello Friends!)

Sunday, January 26, 2014

Oh, hello friends! I can't believe it has been over three months since I've last posted - my how time flies! I hope your holiday season and new year was filled with lots of family, food, laugher and love. And speaking of love, today I was inspired to sport the color of love along with my second day chunky bantu knotout. Lately all I've been doing are bantu knotouts because they are so easy to do and I usually can get third and fourth day hair. And the older, less defined it gets, the more I love it! By the way, have you seen my latest bantu knotout video that I posted on youtube back in November? If not, catch it here :) How have you been wearing your hair lately?

  1. Your red lipstick is gorgeous. But I need to stay on point: How have I been wearing my hair lately? I'm finally back in twists and I'm thrilled. I'm looking forward to the days when I will be able to wear my (longer) hair in a bantu knotout like you. (smile!)

    1. Hey Beautiful! Its so good reconnecting with you :) Now that I'm back in internet land, I seriously need to catch up on my blogs! Man, I envy your twists! I wish I had the patience I once had to put my hair in twists or to do mini twists, but now it just takes too long lol. I still remember how great twists were for a hair break though - especially in the winter. But I have been enjoying bantu knotouts so I cant complain :) By the way, thanks so much about the lippie - Its this awesome red lipstick by Hourglass called Icon. :)

  3. I'm so glad that you're back. Your hair looks so beautiful and healthy. I've been doing protective styles, between micro braids and as of late I've been going between a curly drawstring ponytail or marley hair bun. I really want to experiment with my own natural hair but "she" definitely has a mind of her own so, I'm still learning how to possibly style it. Your videos are very helpful and you seem like such a positive person. I always look forward to seeing what new info you're posting. Thank you so much!

    1. Thank you for such a sweet comment, Gigi! Protective styling is great and I wish I did it more - especially in this brutal cold weather :) Girl, I definitely understand having a head of hair with a mind of her own lol! Sometimes you just have to let her do what she wants heehee!

  5. You are gorgeous!! And so is your hair :)
I had my hair in twists for a few days and I took them out and am letting my hair hang loose. The weather was really harsh here (negative temperatures, snow, etc) and twists were my protective style. Now that it has warmed up a bit and it has cleared up outside, I can actually wear my hair out. Hope you are well!! xo
