Side-Swept Flat Twistout (Skyfall Bond Girl Inspired)

Saturday, July 27, 2013

For this Style Diary I took inspiration from Bond Girl character Severine (in the Skyfall Bond film). Check out the specific images I used for inspiration on my Tumblr here. Bond girls are known for their bombshell / va-va-va-voom factor in the James Bond films. In the Skyfall Bond film, Severine's look was dark, sultry, and glamorous. For my interpretation - I wanted an effortless side-swept finished look. So I did about six medium/chunky flat twists to one side and kept the ends of the twists stretched with a satin scrunchie. After taking down the flat twists, I secured the side-swept hair with a few bobby pins and then added one of my favorite hair accessories (pictured above) for some unexpected "bling" in the back :) Keep in mind that this is not a literal replication of Severine's look in the film. I just had a bit of fun playing dress-up and interpreting the look for my hair....styling it how I would if I were a Bond girl :)
