Hair Break: Pinned Up Twists & Side-Swept Bangs

Sunday, April 14, 2013

Last week I decided to twist up my hair into small/medium sized twists with the intent to wear them pinned up for my work week. I feel like I've been manipulating my hair a lot lately, so I thought that giving my strands a little break from my hand-in-hair issues was definitely in order :) The last time I wore this style, I did slightly chunkier twists so the finished style looked a little different. And instead of wearing the bangs down, I decided to pin them to the side for a side-swept look. I twisted with Paul Mitchell "The Conditioner" alone.  Later in the week, I refreshed and re-twisted with Shea Moisture's Curl & Style Milk (which I'm really enjoying so far!).

Unplanned, but welcomed Trim: While twisting I found myself also dusting/trimming my ends. Whenever I manipulate my hair alot I tend to see more single strand knots and my ends tend to feel more "trashy". So off they went! :)

    1. Thank you Laverne and welcome! :) I go through phases of wearing my hair out and putting it away, lol. And this particular protective style has really grown on me :)
