Pinned Up Twists + Twist-Out Bangs

Thursday, July 05, 2012

Ever have one of those days (or in my case - weeks) where you totally planned to wear a twist-out but then decided to keep the twists in because you already knew you didn't want to deal with re-twisting it for bedtime? Well, that was the kind of hair week I've been having. On Sunday night I twisted up my hair into about twenty medium sized twists with all intentions of wearing a twist-out for work the next day and for the remainder of the week. But just when I was about to start untwisting my hair that morning I thought ahead to the inevitable task of re-twisting for bedtime - and I was already not looking forward to it. So as an alternative to a full twist-out, I decided to pin up all the twists in the back in a criss-cross fashion and then untwisted about 4 twists in the front to create a chunky twist-out side bang. The resulting style wasn't my favorite look, but it did the trick in terms of looking presentable for work while keeping most of my twists in tact. For bedtime, all I had to do was take down the pinned up twists, re-moisturize the ends, and then re-twist the 4 twists in the front that made up the bang - a process that took all of 10 minutes to do every night :)

    1. Heehee! It's been just one of those weeks! Feeling so hair-lazy lately...which is why I need to bite the bullet and do mini-twists, lol :)

  2. I think it came out very cute. I'm looking forward to my hair getting long enough to do things like that.
