Second Braidout Attempt

I did about 16 medium-sized braids
using water to moisturize and Jane Carter
Nourish & Shine to seal in the moisture.
After my first braidout attempt in February which was an EPIC fail, I wasn't quite sure how my second braidout attempt would turn out. I actually didn't intend to do a braidout, but I was on day 8 of my twists and they were beginning to look unkempt. So without even thinking about it I started taking down some of my twists with the intention of just re-doing them (even though I really wanted to keep them in for 2 weeks before re-doing them....*sigh*). As with many other unplanned last minute styling decisions, I realized that I had bitten off more than I could chew with attempting to re-twist my entire head of hair at such a late hour on a work night. It also didn't help that my hair was slightly tangled as I was taking down the twists, so I also had to do some detangling as I went along which of course slowed down the process. Using only water and Jane Carter Nourish & Shine, I chose to just braid up my now loose hair because as I wanted to keep it stretched to prevent further tangling - and I knew braiding would take way less time than re-twisting. But I was really nervous about how it would look when I took the braids out the next morning, and I was mentally prepared to just put my hair in a puff for work as my plan B if I had yet another epic braidout fail. It turns out that I didn't need to go to plan B because I loved the results! I did lose some definition as the day progressed, but I attribute that to the fact that I didn't use products with any hold.
