MAKEUP \\ I love the deeper colors of fall - especially shades of burgundy, oxblood and wine. Whenever I integrate these colors in my makeup or outfit, I instantly feel more sultry. For this makeup look, I chose to pair smokey burgundy eyes with a nude lip. A selection of the products I used are featured above, and here are the details: Eyes - Makeup Forever eyeshadows in #131 (Burgundy) and #04 (Black), Mac Cork eyeshadow to blend out the darker shadows, Nars Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto, Lancome Definicils mascara in black; Face - Mac Face and Body Foundation in N9, Nars creamy concealer in Dark1 Cafe, Mac MSF in Deepest Dark (not pictured), Makeup Forever #131(yes, this eyeshadow also doubles as a blush!); Lips - Mac Stone matte lipstick, Mac Bittersweet Pro Longwear lip pencil, Mac Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait.
HAIR \\ Lately, I've also been digging flat twist outs over my usual braidouts. There's something about the shrinkage of the flat twist outs I've been doing that makes me feel like my hair has been cut into a curly bob (I've done a handful of flat twist out posts on this blog and also a few tutorials on my youtube channel...check them out!). I definitely think this may be a staple style for the Fall and Winter season. And what I'm most excited about is that I achieved this twist out with using only ONE product: my ride or die Oyin Hair Dew (pictured above). I've been super lazy with my hair this year, and if I can get away with using only one product to achieve a style - I'm all about it. The hair dew is great because it moisturizes my hair and leaves it with a fluffy, lightweight hold.
